For nearly a decade, Ms. Peters has been nurturing an abundant skill set, one that encompasses proficiencies in business development, taxes, health care, and employment law. At her current post, she is responsible for handling legal questions for a broad array of divisions, preparing legal documents, providing assistance with Internal Revenue Service issues, and offering free tax preparations annually.
Ms. Peters was inspired to pursue her current career path by a desire to make the most of her strengths in compliance, and her educational background, in a professional arena that would enable her to help others. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University, and a JD from Capital University Law School, and she also holds a Certification in Law Practice (State of Oho), and a Certification in Law Practice from the U.S. Tax Court.
Ms. Peters offers free tax advice and tax preparation for a non-profit organization with a vast array of services to Southern Ohio. The firm has five family health centers, and two head-starts, and operates a transit system; the organization also and has a career center to help train and employ people. Ms. Peters strives to become more involved with the management of her organization. Eventually, she would like to explore teaching opportunities and become an adjunct professor at a college.
